Wash Motor Not Working
Whirlpool GU2700XTSQ fills with water but wash pump does not circulate water. When I start a cycle water fills the unit and can be seen in the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher. After a few minutes of the display of "time remaining" showing a linear symbol that rotated clockwise I heard the soap dispenser door open and the "time remaining" display is counting down from 62 minutes. No sounds or vibration are emitted from the dishwasher during the wash cycle. At the end of the timed wash cycle the water drains from the unit as expected.
I removed the wash pump and the unit can be made to spin inside when the gear is turned. I attached a multi meter and the resistance of the motor was ZERO. I tested the ground and there was no reading on the meter. The wash w motor capacitor looks normal without discoloration or bulging.
What should I look at next?
Thanks,
Paul
Is this a good question?

I have similar problem too. But when measuring the motor resistance with a multimeter, I have 3 megaohms. Still, if I directly plug the motor to the wall, it works.

Had the same problem, dishwasher would fill with water, then drain and idle. Tried all the above, my husband just took apart the pump (before purchasing a new one) and found it was filled with calcium buildup not allowing one ofthe parts to spin properly. Used some CLR, put everything back together and voila! Worked!

Had same issue filled with water and the pump would not run. Check continuity and it was getting voltage.Took a part the pump and found hair caught up in the pump fins. Removed hair re assembled and it started working.

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of a dirty/stuck pump. A repairman came today and said the circulation pump motor needed to be replaced.
I filled the bottom with some warm water and took a flexible plastic knife to the water inlet inside at the bottom of the dishwasher - jammed it as far is it could go a few times and that seemed to work! I guess time will tell but in case anyone is looking for a low cost (possibly low probability) fix.

OK. Same issue. Fills and drains but no wash. Intermittent Short Wash but not Normal Wash. Changing the latch was so easy so I did, but not the solution. I fought with this so long and finally found a comment about the "turbidity sensor". I bought the Turbidity Sensor on eBay for about $12 brand new. 10 minutes to change it without removing the dishwasher, only because I am slow. Tested for leaks. Ran a large load on "normal". Perfect. I hope this is it. WDT720PADM2
