What do I need to fix my iPhone?

Hey everyone. A couple of months ago i was sitting with my friends on a bench in the park. I dropped the iphone on the ground and it hit the grass. There were no rocks or anything so i thought i was fine. I turned it on and the screen was not damaged. It simply did not respond to touch. There are no blank pixels or anything. I've seen on this website that there is the front panel replacement kit. I don't know what to buy to fix my iphone. The warranty is over. I also want to buy the back case. The iphone is the Iphone 3g. What parts do i need to fix it? I know how to take it apart and how to replace parts, i just don't know what parts to buy. I've also tried the reset which you hold the home button and the lock button thing. It still doesn't work. Please help!

I just noticed that there is a crack on the bottom of my iphone, the crack leads to were you charge it. Could this mean i broke a different part? do i need to buy a new iphone or can it be fixed?

Thanks in advance

Chosen Solution

you need the digitiser with front glass iPhone 3G Front Panel

you can buy the rear cover from any other place they don't sell it here, but they do have the guides iPhone 3G Front Panel Assembly Replacement

iPhone 3G Rear Case Replacement

unless you have problems charging your phone etc that should be the only part you need. you quite often get a split near the dock connector on the rear cover just from everyday use. you shouldn't need to buy a new iphone.

have a look at some of the other answers about glue/bezel placement so your iphone looks its best when you're changing the back panel
