DVD cannot be inserted.
Although there's not DVD in the laptop, I can only insert a DVD about 1/4 of the way in.

Hi Peter, looks like something is doing obstruction inside the optical drive so the disk can't be fully inserted. You'll have to open the ibook, take out the optical drive and check inside. Good occasion to clean the drive laser lens and dust off the mechanism with compressed air. Let us know what was the problem...
