Why can I get no network access

Hi, having just repaired an s4 mini, which is locked to EE, I've put my normal EE sim card in the phone, but get no network access at all. When the sim is in my other Samsung, there is a good signal. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I can save contacts to the sim card, so I think the sim reader is ok. Could it be an antenna? or is there another part that could be at fault.

Many thanks

Are you on the stock software?

Hi Ethan, yes. Standard software.

By no network access, do you mean that you don't get a signal, or it gives you an error when trying to call someone

by

Actually both. Circle with a line through it at the top of the screen. If I try to make a call I get a message saying there is no network connection.

Hmm do you have all the required antennas properly inserted?

Hey Bigphilly71,

I would recommend you contacting your provider, maybe they can help you! Also, check your motherboard if everything looks alright.
