You can use either a wall outlet or a computer USB or Firewire port, to do so you need either an iPod to USB cable or an iPod to FireWire cable, you can use those cables to connect to your computer and charge from your computer, however you can also buy a USB AC charger or firewire AC charger to connect your cable to a wall outlet in order to charge from there.
