Hello fellow diy-people,
Is it smart/necessary to put some extra/new thermal compound between the heat-sink and the cpu/chipset??
thanks in advance!

I wouldn't do it unless you're running hot.
Here's a guide on doing it: How to Apply Thermal Paste

Well, after investigating the situation inside the MBP, It was necessary to remove the old grease because it was kind become solid-ish....so removed the old compound with special cleaner, then added new "Artic silver 5" and everything runs as new! Did two laptops, and this step is necessary. Old stuff doesn't make a good connection with the heat-sink. Thanks for the comments!
