how do you replace shutter button,where does the spring go.

Button can be purchased on eBay.

I would like this answer and also need to know where I can purchase a new button and spring. I took my camera to a repair shop they wanted 125.00 for the repair wow It can't be that hard.

I ordered the all-metal button kit from www.Darntoothysam.com last year. It costs more than the plastic button replacement, but it's a lot more durable. In defense of the shop that wanted $125 for the repair, they probably would do a full service, not just a quick pop in the switch. If it needs cleaning, it's not a bad price.
