iPhone 4S IOS 5 will not turn/ gray fuzzy screen

I just replaced a 4S screen and the old screen "worked" but the touch did not function properly so i replaced the screen and now this one when i press the lock button the screen flickers VERY faintly. A few minutes ago the phone was vibrating off the hook making the chime as if it was being un-plgged and plugged back in then showed a very faint white fuzziness. Is something wrong with the battery? Is it the screen? Any word of advice will help.

First off I think it's a damaged screen but first make sure the connections are seeded correctly if the are then try a restore to the latest iOS..

If a restore doesn't work then is a faulty screen
