new battery, still wont charge
Just switched out battery but it still will not charge. Please help!

faustgarc, sounds like you are having difficulties with the dock connector. Check to make sure there is not dirt, debris or broken/bend pins. Clean the connector with a few puffs of compressed air and high grade isopropyl alcohol. If that should not work, you may have to consider replacing the logic board. The 5th gen Video has a dock connector that is soldered to the board, and as such a pain to replace.

Have you tried a new charging cable, different AC adapter, different USB port? Does your iPod still get recognized when you lug it into your computer? does it start up with the new battery?

It does start up with the battery but I've 2 difderent chargers, connected to the computer and it didnt recognize it.
