Hi there which part of the home button did you replace? The plastic button or the flex?

Don't specifically understand your query, but will try to answer it. Occasionally when I transfer a iPhone 5 home button assembly over to a new screen the rubber gasket can sometimes cause a bit of extra pressure, the easiest solution is to just loosen the screws ever so little till the button clicks.

The proper solution would be to make sure the button is seated properly as well as the rubber gasket.

Let me know if this does not work.

Hi Craig, were you able to see if it works without the actual button so we can determine if its the flex or not. If it is, do you have your old flex cable if it still works? As you could replace it with that.
