What part number should I buy as an Airport Card replacement?

I am trying to replace my airport card since it won't detect anything. I search on web and I find a vast amount of airport card types with the same look, but just different part numbers. How do I determine the correct one should i buy as a replacement?

What are the last three digits of your computers serial number? That will help to properly identify your computer and your Airport Card.

I have this same problem too. It's absolutely infuriating that after an hour of searching the web, there doesn't seem to be a clear answer to this anywhere – particularly because there is often a wild difference in prices (£20 to £150!) between different part numbers.

I just want to know what Airport Card is compatible with my machine:

I have a Late-2011 MBPro. (serial ends *********DV14)

• A1278 

• MD314LL/A

• MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.8 13" Late 2011

So far I've come across sites telling me the part is 661-5867, 661-6510,

607-7291 or 607-6425-A ... but I don't know if all of those are compatible or not.
