iPod classic 5th gen battery question

so i have a classic 5th gen 60gig and it stopped working suddenly. yes i've had it charged on the wall and the battery is new. yes i've tried the hold menue/prev buttons and it doesn't go to the menue, or if it does when i do reset it does nothing. there is a sad face icon but before it got to that it was stuck at very low battery screen. it won't go in disk mode. itunes also won't read it

even though none of this was the question i wanted to ask, i felt like everyone was gonna bombard me with those tips so i thought i'd get it out of the way. so my question is....

i just bought a new battery cus i thought it was the battery. the prev battery i used was a 3.7v 650mah from the 30gig that i have. and then i got a 3.7v 850 and thats the one that stopped. so my new battery is 3.7v 1300mah...is that going to do more damage? what is the 60gig recommended battery or does it even matter?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

gokuballer, the mAh really doesn't matter other than for charging purposes. It will take longer to charge, but will not cause any internal problems. From the way you describe the error, I believe that you have a bad hard drive. Hope this helps, good luck.
