Someone told me to apply solering flux to the two large cpus. My first attempt was succestul however ,after the application of the flux the darn thing wont work.I was just wondering didi i mess up and if so could i remedy this with some electrical contact cleaner?yours terrified

david palacios, not sure how the youtube video instructions are, so it is possible that the reflow shortened out the CPU, you may be looking for a prefessional reball of the CPU to fix that.

chinosd, not quite sure how and when you applied the flux. Did you reball/reflow the processors?

well old turkey03,I applied the flux with a popsicle stick to the base of the two large C P U S all the way around, I then proceded to Reball or Reflow the way i seen in several YouTube vids then I reassembled the unit and turned it on i got a green light and the fan for a millisecond not even enough time to do the eject trick that I also seen in you tube vids.Do you think the flux did her in ? or is there still hope for her? Also thank you for replying.
