Wont sync or charge even after dock replacement

To begin i had a Iphone 4 Gsm model A1332 that was not charging (it would charge if the phone was shut off) or syncing (nothing recognized it tried 4 different computers and different cables on all of them ) and after research i decided to replace the dock connector. I followed the ifixit instructions step by step and noticed that the dock had water damage indicator was red but no other parts had the indicator set off. So after I replaced the part i have seen no change.

ps I double checked all the connections and they are snug and all other functions work.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I would try a another dock that is known working and try it in your phone if that doesn't work the water damage has probobly destroyed a component on the motherboard but before all that I would clean the motherboard with 99% ISO alcohol you could also try a new battery just to rule that out
