broken sleep light cable connector

I am trying to replace my cpu. Using the instructions on this guide I tried to separate the sleep cable connector with tweezers but it it popped right out of the logic board. Now I m not sure what to do and how to reconnect it. Does it need to be soldered/glued? Any help appreciated!!

If you tore off the entire connector it needs to be reconnected with solder.

Soldering logic board components is an advanced skilled DIY repair that requires special tools and lots of practice. You might want to take it to a small electronics/computer repair shop and see if they will do it for you - rather than do more damage to the board (like burn a hole in it).

Or you can just get a new sleep light connector.
