Need help identifying leftover part.

Greetings! Yesterday I took apart my 3DS, today I replaced the upper screen and put it back together again, but now I find myself with a part that seems to be leftover. It's a 5x5x2mm rubber square, with a clear piece of plastic inside of it (they can be separated). I took a picture. Would be awesome if anyone would know where that thing goes, I just can't find it on any of the pictures.

Best regards!

I have not worked on a 3DS in a couple months, but it looks like it might be the sensor that tells the DS that the device is closed.

The first option sounds would valid, but when I close the lid far enough the light actually goes out. The thing in step #21 is actually quite a lot bigger than that, and in place. Sorry, mate! I checked all the other buttons and every single one works, so does the circlepad,

And just as I was writing that, I thought: What haven't I checked 10 times already? And I'm reminded of the lid-LED that goes on when the camera is active - it seems to be the diffuser for that goes in front of it. *shrug* No idea why they would put a rubber around it. O.o

Well - thank you for responding, I really appreciate it!
