shutting down after touch screen replacement

Replaced the glass and digitizer on the mini. Touch function seems to be working. Lcd is Fine. After a brief interval of use the ipad just shuts down. It locked up on another try and then shut down after holding for about a minute. I ordered a pre assembled screen with the chip and pre adhesive applied...

Any ideas on why this thing is shutting down like this?

On the new digitizer you have new magnet cover detertors. You may have problem with those. The best way is turning off the settings->general->lock/unlock OFF.

That may solve the problem completely.

Good luck...
