My home button apparently needed a new flex cable for the home button so after i replaced it, i tried to turn it on but it was all black. I connected to my computer and it reads it just fine. Any help?

have you tried a hard reset? holding power/sleep button + home button for 15+ seconds?
make sure the lcd connector is completely clipped in
