dark band on display

Sorry for my English is not perfect. I am Italian.

I have iMac 24". On the display appeared halos(bands,lines) blacks, see photos. What may have happened?

Looks like a mild case of backlight bleeding.

Judging by the photo it doesn't strike me as product-threatening, but you might want a second opinion.

and nothing's wrong with your English, it's perfectly understandable.

I fear you're looking a ta works-as-designed issue, I've seen Dell notebooks, HP All-in-one's and branded monitors you name it... displaying similar issues(Though most in a larger degree).

-IF it really is a defective product, an applestore should be able to have it replaced, no way that's a case of Customer Abuse.

-If it IS normal operation, no replacement part is going to resolve.

was the computer exposed to any cold temperatures? left near an open window? I've seen that effect when an LCD gets too cold, usually resolves itself.

I live in Italy is not the North Pole. In Italy the temperatures average around 20-24°C (74-86°F). No near windows, no wind cold, no air condition. House temperature is 19-21°C(66-70°F).I think LCD defective. I think LCD panel of poor quality, not good. Economical.
