Wireless 360 controller met its demise via cup of tea

Hi there as listed in title I have had an accident with Xbox 360 wireless controller and a cup of tea and now it will not turn on or charge or anything really. I have split open and tried to clean insides buttons, board etc with cotton buds and alcohol gel best i could which has got rid of the stickyness and loosend up buttons but still nothing happening power wise ie won't turn on light up or charge , is there anything I can do to try and fix it or is it a case of buying a new pad? Cheers

Ok thanks ill give it a try would the gel not be sufficient for cleaning then

No, sorry not sure about the gel stuff, but can't use it to clean.

Anthony, clean it properly with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. Use a small brush to clean it properly and do not forget the connector and cable ends. Check for any burned or charred components. Do not use it until properly cleaned. Hope this helps, good luck.
