Coffee damaged MacBook Pro, component level help
I need help with diagnostic procedure 2010 MBP 15" I7
unit will not power on with keyboard bypass, although green light on the charger is on.
Seem to have power all around different components on both sides of the board.
I have cleaned the board, and tested any white fuses i can find, and swapped ram slots.
As you can see in the pics there was a lot of gunk on the NDS 9407 MOSFET.
I have 12v at pin 1-4 but no voltage at pin 5-8, and there is no voltage at the green
24v polyswitch next to it.
I have focused on this area because this is where the liquid
was found.
I can't seem to find a schematic for this board, Other manufactures show components with expected voltages and values for each component.
I have a reflow machine, and some experience replacing components with these package sizes, but without any diagrams I'm a struggling with the diagnostic.
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Brad
Is this a good question?

What are the last three of your serial number, or if you have, what is the logic board number?

820-2850-A is the board number

checking the voltages, I find 16v at different points on the board and 3.4 volts at the G3h pad (one of the pads you short for Keyboard bypass).
i Guess the Mosfet i was looking at is for the firewire circuit.

yes, i have checked continuity and it is fine, but there is no voltage on it though. what does critical mean?

Fluke 87 multimeter set on ohms, even had the beeper on.
