Digitizer cable ripped, can I replace it with my old one?

My daughter dropped the Ipad and cracking the screen. So I bought a replacement screen. I was able to remove everything and get everything back to where it was however when I was trying to reconnect those 3 cables. The digitizer cable cable ripped. (see pic below)

So my question(s) is, can I re-attach the cable? Glue, solder or taped? Will that work? Or do I have to buy another screen again? Is it even possible to take the cable out from my old cracked screen and put it into my new on?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, you will need to purchase another screen, the cable cannot be repaired or transferred from the old one.
