What is this part?

History

The part is located just above the memory card slot on the logic board. It is made of shiny metal and has two blocks of needlelike pins. I assume that it is some kind of heat sink. If it is a heat sink, what is it for and if it isn't a heat sink what is it for? Any ideas?

I am trying to repair the overheating problems on my imac and am currently sorting out the main heat sinks.

Thanks for the answer. I looked at the heat sink guide and the thing I am talking about is pictured at the top of the photo for step 41.

I trust you've seen: the guide. If it's not that heat sink it would be the GPU (VGC) heat sink.
