Sudden flicker then Sepia color on screen

When I start using my (iPAD 3 WIFI) and after few minutes, the whole screen starts to quickly alternate its color between the normal colors and some sort of yellowish/sepia shade. I lock the ipad and unlock it again and it goes back to normal but only for few minutes until it goes again ! I can notice the video playback goes so slow while the flickering is happening.
Some times after the above happens, the whole screen slowly fades out to a total light grey screen.
Any idea what's wrong ?
