Where is the 2nd HDD?

Asus Laptop K72F-TY249V

This laptop came new with 2 physical hard drives

2 x 500g SATA

Only drive-0 is in the HDD bay. I have already replaced drive-0 with a 750g SATA with no issues.

I want to replace drive-1 with a similar larger capacity HDD.

ASUS Online Tech Support deny the existence of drive-1, despite being quoted exact model and serial number

BIOS and Windows Disk Manager do not lie !

So the basic question.

Where is drive-1 ? How to access and replace.

Steve Cook I believe that the original drive is actually a 1,000GB hard drive partition into 2X500gb drive. Check here

oldturkey03,

2 x HDD was an option with this model Originally 2 x Seagate ST9500325AS Original Disk-0 ST9500325AS has been removed Replaced with ST9750420AS BIOS and Window Disk Management now show: Disk-0 ST9750420AS (750G) Disk-1 ST9500325AS (500G)

Steve Cook,

Maybe it is K72JK-TY005V with incorrect labelling ??? http://www.asusnotebook.com.au/2217_[DISCONTINUED]-ASUS-K72JK-K72JK-TY005V-Notebook-Int.php
