My power button wont work

I have just replaced my earpiece speaker on my iPhone 4s and i mistakenly took out the power button to get the ribbon back around the earpiece. Now the power button feels stuck and will not work to lock the phone or turn it off i'm not sure if i have put it back in the right way or if i might have lost a part i cant see anything extra lying around where i done the repair

Did you follow a guide? Try this one: iPhone 4S Power Button Replacement

Make sure to put the powerbutton the right way. With the "hinged" pointing down

Maybe the button on the flexcable have moved a bit?

I suggest and prefer if you use a small piece of paper and fix it under the round shaped sleep button which does the trick for me most of the times instead of replacing buttons and cables.

124electronics,

How exactly does the paper go in? Are you putting it between the internal button and the mounting bracket, or between the internal button and the external button?
