OK, so i have 2 iphones 4.
The phone (A) is working fine and phone (B) is the one with the error 21 problem. So the other day, i just gave up on everything it just did no work, the phone was just getting worst if nothing else ( it stop getting to recovery mode, instead it was in loop mode) i went mental and closed the phone and put it for sale on ebay as faulty...
So i closed phone (A), because i used its housing for the phone (B) motherboard, just to see if there was any difference, but to my disappointment there was non still error 21. So i closed the 2 phones, one for sale ( phone B )and one for use ( phone A ).
I picked phone (A) and went out, the phone works great like always. When i get back home i could not believe my luck... on the screen of my working phone there was the dreaded apple recovery mode sign on the screen, my heart hit the floor... Just my luck now I have 2 iphones with error 21... and when i plug in to pc to do recovery... there it was error 21. I was ready to break the phone with a hammer, lol. So i started to think that this could not be software problem, and i remember that when i was closing phone (A) when i was putting the wifi antenna, the flash light for the phone came on, the phone was switch off but i had the battery plugged, i did not much of this and closed it anyway. So i open the phone again and unscrew the screw that caused the flash light to come on, the screw that was holding the wifi antenna in place, the screw that goes to the far left of the back camera, so i switch the phone on and gess what it worked, the wifi antenna was touching a bit of the motherboard that was covered by a rubber thing that was missing and because of that the phone was malfunctioning. This rubber stops the wifi antenna from touching a the logicboard metal to metal.
So armed with this info i opened that other phone (B) and unscrew the same screw, and to my surprise the phone cam back to live when connected to power wall, i was over the moon... But was short lived, when i plug to pc it was in loop mode and error 21, and connected to power wall and it worked, so i change battery and still the same problem. But this time it went in to recovery mode again and it has not turned on again. But now i now it works just have to find what's causing this recovery mode, its not software. I remove the logicboard and take the metal plates and under the one near to the battery connector it has some of green stuff, do not know the name of that but is like rust but its green. so at this moment the logicboard is having a alcohol bath, and fingers cross that the logicboard is not fried....
So the error 21 was a hardware fault and not software. If u are having this problem and nothing work on the pc, this could be because of some thing that is causing a bag connection or like my logicboard ( a nasty secret under the metal plates).
Now any ideas as to what could be causing my phone (B) not to start again? It was working when connected to wall for 4 tries and after that it just goes to recovery mode, i now its hardware problem. It could be the green stuff and today i will find out, but if its not any ideas?
Sorry about the long letter but if i think a lot of people are having the same problem as me, and are thinking that its a software problem...
Thanks in advance
