Loose Backplate ¶ 

Dropped the camera on its edge, denting the case, and making it no longer waterproof.

Broken Clip ¶ 

Check to see if the back plate can be placed back onto the camera. Make sure there are an even number of clips physically on the back plate. If one or more clips seemed to have been broken, then the back plate needs to be replaced. Follow the Olympus Tough TG-1 Clip Slip Replacement

Mode Dial ¶

Dead/Cracked Screen ¶

Screen is Cracked ¶ 

If the LCD screen is cracked, you need to replace it. Follow the Olympus Tough TG-1 Screen Replacement.

Loose Compartment Door ¶ 

Battery falls out unexpectedly.

Battery and Memory Cards Left Exposed ¶ 

If the door covering is broken, whether it be the clips, or the pin is simply broken. Replace it if you care to take your camera out for strenuous activities. Follow the Olympus Tough TG-1 Battery Replacement

Lock Tab ¶ 

If the locks on the door are loose and not securing the compartment door, replace them. These mechanical pieces will shelter items that are very sensitive to water. Follow the Olympus Tough TG-1 Battery Replacement

Useless controls ¶

Replacing Circuit Board ¶ 

If your basic input for the hardware is not showing any output, then chances are something is malfunctioned internally. For the back plate housing the LCD screen, there are two pieces of circuitry: one for the screen itself, and the other for the physical buttons on the back plate. Issues With Focusing ¶

Circular Lens Protector ¶ 

If one of the plastic tabs on the circular lens breaks, replace it so that dust and water do not protrude the circular hole. Follow the Olympus Tough TG-1 Lens Box Replacement
