Nikon Coolpix s6000 Flash Assembly
The Nikon Coolpix S6000 features multiple flash modes designed to improve image. This guide explains how to enable and adjust flash settings, understand available flash modes, and follow important usage notes to ensure proper flash performance.
== Using the Flash (User Operation Guide) ==
Before assuming the flash assembly is faulty, verify that the flash is being used correctly.
Flash Range (ISO Sensitivity set to Auto):
- Wide-angle zoom: 0.5–4.9 m (1 ft. 8 in.–16 ft.)
- Telephoto zoom: 1.1–3.6 m (3 ft. 7 in.–11 ft.)
How to Set the Flash Mode:
Step 1:
Press the m (flash mode) button on the rotary multi selector.
The flash mode menu will appear on the screen.
Step 2:
Use the rotary multi selector to highlight the desired flash mode.
Step 3:
Press the k button to confirm your selection.
If you do not press the k button within a few seconds, the selection will cancel automatically.
Available Flash Modes:
Auto: Flash fires automatically when lighting is dim.
Auto with Red-Eye Reduction: Reduces red-eye in portraits.
Off: Flash will not fire, even in low light.
Fill Flash: Flash fires with every photo to reduce shadows or backlighting.
Y – Slow Sync: Combines flash with slow shutter speed for night portraits.
== Important Notes for Flash Assembly ==
- When using a tripod, turn Vibration Reduction Off.
- If the monitor turns off while shooting, the battery may be too low to charge the flash.
- Noise reduction may increase image processing time in dim conditions.
- Flash mode in Auto (A) mode is saved in camera memory even after power off.
