Lenovo 100e Chromebook Gen 4 Won't Power On
The Chromebook does not turn on when you press the Power key.
Faulty Charger
- To verify the charger works, check the power cable for any signs of wear and tear. Considerable damage can affect the charging capability.
- After plugging in, verify the Chromebook is charging (the light next to the power port will light up). If the light does not appear, plug it into another compatible USB-C device and see if it charges.
- If the steps above do not work, replace the charger.
Faulty Battery
- If the device remains powered off, and you have verified your charger works, the problem may be a faulty battery.
- Consider leaving the device plugged in for 2 hours to accumulate charge.
- If the steps above do not work, replace the battery.
Low Ram
- If your device has trouble staying on and randomly shuts down, then your system might be running out of RAM.
- Delete any unnecessary programs and files.
- Close any applications not actively in use.
- If the steps above do not work, replace the main board.
