If you are having issues when your laptop is plugged into the A/C adapter, it may need to be replaced. First, make sure that the power source your A/C adapter is plugged into has power. A whistling noise is heard when the computer turns on
If you start your computer and the fan persists to make a loud noise the fan will need to be replaced or cleaned with compressed air. First turn off the computer, then remove the fan to replace it. Restart the computer and wait for start up to see if the problem has subsided
There is a chance your fan could just be working too hard. The best thing to do would be to turn off your computer and let it rest for a bit. If the overheating is consistent you might need to replace the fan, or you can buy a cooling pad to set your laptop on top of.
If the fan is not the issue, its possible the hard drive in your laptop could be failing. Try to run hardware diagnostics first, to see if there is an error with your hard drive. If you find an issue with your hard drive or if the problem continues to persist even after a successful diagnostics run, you will need to replace your hard drive.
Attempts to save document, picture, or video fail
You might need to clear your hard drive or internet browser of any temporary files and cookies files. To clear out browsing data, just go to the settings of your browser and clear out cookies. To clear out temporary files from your hard drive, run Windows Disk Utility Clean up.
If you cannot delete any more storage you can replace the hard drive with a newer one with more storage. Save any files you want to keep on an external hard drive before replacing the hard drive.
Dell Inspiron is unable to save all information
It is possible that another program on your laptop could be using all of your computer's RAM memory. This is a simple fix in which you can go to your task manager to see which computer programs are taking up the most memory, and then ending the process by right clicking on the program and selecting this option.
If you are having issues with the amount of memory your laptop is using, it might be that your computer is not fully up to date. Go to your computer's settings and check to see if your computer's software is up to date. If it's not, go ahead and install updates to see if that solves the problem.
If you are unable to save any pictures, documents, or videos, and you have cleaned out your temporary files, you might need to replace the ram all together. Remember, it is recommended you save any files you want to keep before taking out the ram and fitting your laptop with a new one.
