PowerShot S80 won't turn on ¶
Bad Motherboard ¶
Sometimes circuits go bad inside the camera as a result of water damage or trauma. Replacing the motherboard can hopefully resole these issues. Follow the Motherboard repair guide.
Recharge Battery ¶
An easy fix, recharge the battery.
Flash won't discharge ¶
Flash problems ¶
If the flash unit is damaged from trauma or water damage, it will require replacement. Follow the Flash repair guide.
Low Battery ¶
When the battery has reached critical levels, the camera will reserve power for the vital systems, resulting in the flash not firing.
LCD screen is black ¶
Screen replacement ¶
If the screen is cracked or broken, then it will need to be replaced. Follow the LCD repair guide.
No sound ¶
Speaker is broken ¶
If the Camera no longer makes sound, the speaker may be broken. It will need to be replaced. See the speaker repair guide.
