Unresponsive Screen ¶

“The screen does not turn on”

Battery Not Charged ¶

If you do not see a green light flash (next to the right side of the screen) when you turn on the camera, there may be an issue with the battery. Make sure the battery is charged, working and properly installed. To ensure the battery is charged place the battery in its charger. If the green light is showing on the charger, then the battery is charged. Note: if you know that it was not already fully charged the light should not already be green and may take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge. If you have noticed a significant decrease in the time the battery lasts, this may signify you need to buy a new battery.

Improper Battery Installation ¶

After ensuring the battery is fully charged and in working order, install the battery into the camera making sure it locks into place with a click. For more detailed instructions please see this guide (change link). Finally, turn the camera back on. If the problem still persists there might be possible internal damage.

Internal Damage ¶

If the camera has been dropped or too much pressure has been applied to the screen there is a possibility that the screen has incurred internal damage and needs to be replaced. Please see this guide (change link) for directions on how to replace the screen.

Camera Fails to Power On ¶

If the green light is showing on the charger, then the battery is charged. Note: if you know that it was not already fully charged the light should not already be green and may take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge. Turns Off Immediately After Turning On ¶

Make sure battery is fully charged

If the screen is unresponsive, please refer to the unresponsive troubleshooting guide. However, if the screen turns on for a few seconds and then shuts down please try the following steps. Please Hold the power button for 2 full seconds. There may be a potential disconnect between the power button and the power source, therefore the screen may be unresponsive. If this does not resolve the issue, wiggle the power button and hold the power button for 2 full seconds again.

Lens does not telescope ¶

“Lens does not extend or retract”

Dirty Lens ¶

The lens extension and retraction may be blocked due to dirt or dust. In order to clear the lens, use a small brush to brush away dirt and dust. If the lens does not extend or retract after attempting to clean the lens, please refer to lens repair guide.
