Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME170C Troubleshooting
The Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME170C is a 7 inch HD touch screen tablet with a resolution of 1280 x 800.
Asus Memo Ribbon Cable ¶
Images will be distorted or not show up at all.
Replacing ribbon cable ¶
It is possible that it appears nothing is happening, because the cable bundle is in need of replacement. If replacing the battery and screen fails to fix the tablet not turning on, then you may need to replace the ribbon cable using this guide: Asus MeMO Pad 7 ME170C Ribbon Cable Replacement
Asus Memo Pad 7 Speaker ¶
There is no sound or not at right level
If tablet has no sound ¶
If your speaker will not produce sound, you can check to make sure the volume settings on the tablet are correct. If that fails to solve the issue, than replace the speaker using this guide:
Sound is not at desired level ¶
If sound isn't at an appropriate level, locate volume buttons on upper right hand side. Push the upper portion of the button to increase and lower portion to decrease.

The device will not power on
Will not turn on ¶
Your tablet will not turn on because your battery is dead. Charge the battery of your tablet by using a micro USB cable. Plug one end of the cable to the appropriate port located at the top of your tablet and plug in the other end to a computer or outlet converter that is plugged into a working outlet in the wall.
Replace Battery ¶
Your tablet will not turn on because your battery will not charge. In this case, you must replace the battery. Follow this guide to replace damaged battery:

The mircrophone allows you to input sound for voice commands or record voice memos, or talk to text. If your tablet is unable to input sound, here is a guide to replace the microphone:
Asus Memo Pad 7 Mother board ¶
Operating system will not work
Hard reset ¶
If system crashed, then a hard reset may be required. Push both volume buttons and power button, all located on the upper right hand side, hold for 10 seconds.
Take out and Replace ¶
After replacing the battery and a hard reset doesn't work, then it will be necessary that the motherboard needs to be replaced. Use this guide to do so:
