Answer to: Does the iPod Touch 4 have the same glass as the iPhone 4?Don't know about the iphone, but I have an ipod touch 3rd gen. 64gb unit and just got the new ipod touch 4 64gb one and the glass on the older one seems better and stronger and if you press down hard on the new one it gets that rainbow colored blotch that disappears like on most LCD monitors do and the older ones didn't do that. So, I'm not digging that. Randy
Answer to: Light Leaks on the sidesOh, no! Just bought one also, but haven't opened it yet and read about the overheating issue and now this! I thought the 4th gen. unit's glass was glued directly to the LCD and wouldn't have dust/and/or light-leak or dead pixel issues! I just might have to return it if I keep reading these horror stories! :(
Answer to: Why do I have lines through my monitorGood question. I was looking at this site for another issue and came upon this. I don't have an answer for you, but interestingly enough, I once had that problem, but somewhat different. I have a mac-mini that's around 5 years old and had an external monitor hooked up to it [obviously, it doesn't have it's own] and it started suddenly to have 2 green lines from top to bottom like the one you have pictured here. I thought maybe it would just go away, but it didn't, and being anal about my electronics as I am, I gave it away and got another monitor and that was the end of that! My new monitor was fine and my friend said later it did the same thing on his computer, so I guess it was just going bad. Still, for my own head, I wouldn't mind finding out from a pro exactly what was happening there!
