Answer to: Old water damage - slow trackpad/keyboard speedIf you look at the track-pad board (See: https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig...) do you notice any corrosion on the cables or connectors? I just completed a repair on this model and found slight corrosion here resulted in the shift-key acting like it was being pressed. Replaced the Upper-Case, Track-pad, and Upper-Case Cable and it works like new. Since all your keyboard data runs through the track-pad, it's a good place to start. Good luck!
