Answer to: Changed Display, now iPhone doesn´t turn on anymore.I had the same problem...but successfully live up my iphone. Here are what I did: - recheck connectors number 1, 2, 3 (make sure they are not broken or detached from their ribbon cable) - recheck the connections to main board (perfectly fit) - connect my iphone to iTunes, resetting the system to factory setting (iTunes will ask and do backup of all your data) - if your iphone display iTunes symbol or any text other than white/black screen, then everything will be okay. - after resetting, I restore the system firmware and data back to latest condition. some apps needs to be re-installed from appstore. Hope you can live up your iphone again...
Answer to: iPhone 3GS After Battery Replaced ProblemI had similar experience, when I replaced my old battery, the replacement battery didn't want to charge... only displayed bolt signed even after an hour charging. What I did I put my old battery back... and seems the problem solved. In my case, I am sure the replacement battery was bad. Another step you migt want to try, before you ask or buy another battery replacement or don't wanna use your old battery, is connect your iphone to iTunes on your computer. Check whether you can see anything shown on your iphone other than bolt sign like charging...etc. One more tip, anything you want to do with opening your iPhone front casing make sure you peel off the three connectors (1 to 3) carefully and gently...they are very fragile, expecially connector number 1... if that tiny black connector detached from its cable ribbon, it's gonna cost you more...replacing the LCD or digitizer.
Answer to: iPhone not working after screen replacementI have similar experience, just two days ago I replaced my 3gs LCD. Everything seems right, I checked and rechecked connectors 1, 2, and 3 to make sure they're all placed correctly. When I turned it on... the display on but showed "white backlight". When I charge my phone, I hear click sound, so I am sure the problem in on LCD. Here are the steps I did to solve my problem: 1. connect 3gs to itunes (on my laptop), all apps were displayed virtually on my itune; 2. reset the system software to factory setting (thankfully itune ask backup all data first); 3. folow itunes instruction until the system restart on you computer, if you can see any instruction on your iphone display, then everything will be fine; 4. restore all data and iphone system to newest version. This is what I think the possible problem, either when you replace your digitizer, your iphone wasn't turn off or the iphone system software does not recognize new part replacement (digitizer or LCD) so it requires system resetting with iTunes. Hope this...
