Answer to: Keyboard -short on ribbon cable killed MacBookOk, so had the idea to check the RAM. Had pulled them out, and put them back in prior to the death of the MacBook, and thus to no avail. But, had not tried to take one out at a time. Did it today, and bingo, MacBook lives again (on dead RAM chip). Why and how? No idea. I guess I was right to wonder how a logic board (or any other type of digital electronics) could die in such a progressive manner. I was at 2 steps of throwing the thing in the garbage. DJT.
