Answer to: Laid Washer on Side, Now Thumping During SpinOk, so tonight I took the cabinet off the washer and took a look. Turns out the skid plate had shifted out of proper position. With the help of the wife who lifted up on the outer tub, working against the springs, she was able to raise it just enough for me to shift the plate back I to proper position based upon diagrams and photos found on the web. Ran a full cycle and she is smooth and quiet. So by replacing the coupler and drive block 6 months ago and now the clutch, all for $75, the machine is running like a champ.
Answer to: Spin Cycle Not StartingOK, so I found another posting and was able to diagnosis the problem from the previous posting (2009). I made the mistake of laying the machine on its side instead of its back. Now there is a loud banging and thumping during the spin cycle. Posted another post on this with more details.
