Answer to: How can I tighten my steering? There are two types of free play in steering. Rotational free play and the scary kind where you wonder if the wheel is going to fall into your lap. The former type is adjusted under the hood with a end wrench and screwdriver. The latter requires you remove the steering wheel to tighten the screws that hold a certain amount of load on the bearings in the column. The screws are usually holding the tilt wheel "knuckle" to the upper part of the shaft with the steering wheel. There is a metal plate for the steering lock under the wheel with holes in it allowing you to tighten the screws. If the screws or bolts are tight, you may have bad bearings and need a replacement column. I hope this helps.
Answer to: How to prime aperkins dieselDoes it have an electric or mechanical fuel pump? Electric or mechanical injectors? The old school way was to loosen the fittings on the injectors to bleed the air out. Crank the engine over till fuel flows. Once fuel flows out all 4, 6, or 8 fuel tubes you tighten the fittings and clean up. Then it should be ready to go. Electric pumps, if they are even used, are much easier to prime. Turn the key on and the pump will run till it builds pressure then shuts off. Turn off the key and SLOWLY and CAREFULLY open the fitting to bleed off the air at each injector or at the end of the fuel supply tube.
