Answer to: Why doesn't my Super Famicom have any sound?First thing to do is cleaning cartridge connector AND the cartridge slot. Use a gamebit 3,8mm screwdriver to open cartridges from cleaning. Gamebit is used also for the console, but with another size, 4,5mm. Old electrolytic capacitors are known to fail, or worse, corrode copper tracks on the motherboard. Consider replacing all capacitors if the cleaning don't sound any result.
Answer to: Why does the SNES shut down the power of my room?A symptom like this means there's obviously a short-circuit somewhere. The first thing to do is testing with another power supply. If nothing changes, then the short-circuit is probably inside the console.
