Answer to: Possible to replace touch ID color sensor?I personally ended up doing this on accident. Bought another iPhone to increase my memory (Stupidly bought the 16gb) I ordered a White phone to match mine, but the one that came in was black. I didn't feel like waiting to ship it back and then have Gazelle ship me a new one, so I swapped the motherboards. After this I realized the touch Id wasn't working, so I tried a factory reset. This bricked both phones. (Error 83 in iTunes I believe) In a last ditch effort I swapped the home buttons back, restored and they worked perfectly! 4 hours of repair (and frustration) later, I accidentally have a 64gb White iPhone with a black button and 16gb Black iPhone with a white button. I'm not sure how I feel about this combination yet, but I guess if anyone steals my phone, I'll know. And it's unique. If anyone wants pictures of how these look swapped, let me know!
