Answer to: No wifi or bluetooth after replacing optical drive and trackpad.I recently replaced my optical drive- Macbook Pro 13" mid 2010. I had also recently upgraded the iOS to Yosemite. Got the "no hardware installed" for WiFi and "Bluetooth not available" messages after I closed the MacBook back up and re-booted. I tried all the system resets and diagnostics to rule out software/new iOS issues. I re-opened my MacBook. Step 10 (image inserted below) of Ifixit.com's MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 Logic Board Replacement did the trick for me. I peeled back the soft, spongy piece and noticed the cable was not properly connected. I pushed it back in with a spuger. WiFi and Bluetooth now working again.
