Yes unfortunately that means you will need to replace the flex ribbon, cheap part on ebay but a pain to do, its one whole flex ribbon that controls the volume mute switch and power button, i have done it before as i had same issue, once tge motherboard and battery are out it took about 30mins, just make sure you dont rush and have time
