Suha Hussain

Hello! My name is Suha Hussain and I am a Civil Engineering student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Skills: Enthusiastic, Hard-working, team player

Repair experience: I have had minimal repair experience, other than occasionally taking apart my pencil to fix it. I have utilized guides online in the past to attempt to identify problems with my devices, such as my laptop. Through the iFixit EDU Technical Writing project, I was able to co-author some repair guides. In the summer of 2020, I began working at iFixit as an SEO Content Writer for the EDU department, writing background information for various device pages.

Hobbies: I love to bake up fun treats in my spare time and also love to draw. Recently, I have been learning how to rump rope, so I cannot wait to learn many cool tricks.

I was born in India and I immigrated to the United States with my parents when I was in first grade. Since then, I have lived with my family of five in southern California. In my family, I am the oldest of three children with a large age between my younger two siblings, 9 and 11 years respectively. Growing up, I was inspired by my dad, a Civil Engineer, and his work, which eventually led me to pursue Civil Engineering in college.

I was first introduced to iFixit through my Technical Writing class at Cal Poly and the Technical Writing project. With my team, I worked on guides for the Motorola Moto E6. Check out my old profile, created during my technical writing project.

Now, I work at iFixit as an SEO Content Writer as part of Team Valyria. I have loved learning and writing about all sorts of devices!

At Cal Poly, I am on student government, serving on the ASI Board of Directors as a representative for the College of Engineering.

In my spare time, I love to cook and bake up some tasty dishes and treats!
