Answer to "Will not turn on or charge"This process of dropping the battery would not work for me. I had to resort to pressing the “Novo Button”. See instructions in the User Guide referenced in previous answer above. Find the small hole with what looks like a tiny headphone jack icon. Use a paperclip to press while powering on. This will bring up a boot menu that will allow a “Normal Restart" and other options to restore the laptop's Windows install from restore partition. I chose Normal Restart, which got me to a desktop. I found that Windows had been corrupted by some malware. I used the Windows Settings>Update & Security>Recovery>Reset This PC to reinstall Windows without losing personal data. This worked fine I did not lose docs as you would with a reformat and fresh reinstall but I need to reinstall apps now. But my kid has his machine back and peace has been in my home.
