same problem after battery replacement;
Very Low Battery"
That's the fault message I started getting after iPod sat in car couple days, then it would come to life after few minutes. It wouldn't hold a charge, typical scenario, full charge indication at first, then drops off quickly and shuts down. Eventually got fault message "Connect to computer and use iTunes to Restore". I knew the original battery was suspect, so started there. I too wondered about the condition of these "new" batteries, but tried anyway. Now I have the same problem reported by others here. noting seems to have changed after replacing battery. Wondering if a second fault occurred in addition to the original battery life issue. tried the device reset procedure, not change. Have not yet measured battery voltage on new battery. Researching the second fault message "Connect to computer and use iTunes to Restore" before revisiting the battery.
