Robot Vacuum Only Cleans Partially or Skips Areas

Robot Vacuum Only Cleans Partially or Skips Areas

Causes

1

In larger homes or on carpeted floors, the battery may not have enough charge. Enable “recharge and resume” or divide the rooms into zones.

2

Check in the app whether virtual barriers or no-go zones are enabled. Delete or move them if they are accidentally blocking too much.

3

If doors are closed during cleaning, the robot won’t detect the rooms behind them. Open all doors before starting, or run a new mapping cycle with all rooms open.

4

Toys, chairs, or cables can make areas inaccessible. Clear the floor before starting the robot.

5

The app often shows a map with problem areas. Remove the cause or set up no-go zones to work around the problem.

6

On dark floors, some robots “think” they are at a staircase. Reduce the sensitivity in the app if possible, and clean the sensors thoroughly.

7

After rearranging furniture or changing the room layout, the map may no longer match. Delete it and start a new mapping cycle. Important: Leave all doors open!

8

Dust on the laser or camera can interfere with orientation. Clean the lens with a microfiber cloth, but avoid scratching it.

9

Most models can only handle 1.5–2 cm. Measure the threshold height and use low ramps if needed.

10

Modes such as “spot” or “room cleaning” limit the cleaning area. Select “full cleaning” or “all rooms” mode.

11

A restart or update may help. Turn the robot off for 10 seconds, check for firmware updates, and restart it. If the problem remains, perform a factory reset or contact support.
