The dock should be placed against a wall, with at least 50 cm of free space on both sides and 1–1.5 m in front. Don’t place it in corners or under furniture.
2
Infrared Signal Is Blocked
The dock sends out a signal that the robot uses for navigation. Make sure nothing is blocking the dock and that it isn’t exposed to direct sunlight.
3
Sensors on the Robot Are Dirty
Clean the front and side sensors with a lint-free cloth. A little isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab can also help here.
4
Charging Contacts Are Dirty
If the robot finds the dock but doesn’t dock properly, thoroughly clean the metal contacts. See also: Robot Vacuum Won’t Charge
5
Dock Has No Power
Check the power adapter, the outlet, and any switches on the dock. Test the outlet with another device.
6
Robot Starts Too Far Away
If the robot starts too far from the dock, the battery may not last long enough for it to return. Start cleaning near the dock.
7
Incorrect Mapping
If the map no longer matches your current room layout, delete it and map the area again. Important: The dock should already be in its final position during mapping.
8
Wheels Are Dirty or Blocked
If the robot doesn’t dock precisely, check all wheels and the caster wheel. Clean them thoroughly so they can spin freely.
9
Calibrate the Navigation System
Some models offer a calibration function in the app or menu. Run the calibration and then create a new map.
