Causes
Maybe your batteries weren't the problem, but it was either your power adapter or power cords that is faulty. This can happen due to:
- Prolong use without unplugging it. Power adapters still draw in power even when it's not in use
- Bad ground connection
- Power cord is damaged, either the pins are bent or there is debris inside the pins
Always be on the lookout on your power supply. The power supplies don't last forever, but you can increase its life expectancy if you take care of it.
If all else seems to be working but your pet feeder doesn't want to dispense food, there could be something wrong with your power supply or minor problems inside your feeder mechanism. Make sure to see if:
- There is a "stuck" indicator, dissemble the tank base and remove any food on the rotor
- You have filled the tank with the enough food
- Check that your power adapters, power cords, and the batteries are correctly installed
- Check if your chute is blocked from food
